Hello, Polynesian vs. Beach Club? It will be my husband and I and our 3 kids. Ages 8, 6 & 4. I stayed at The Polynesian when I was little and loved it, never stayed at The Beach Club. Thanks

Hi, Melinda!  Both the Polynesian and Beach Club are amazing resorts!   This is a tough decision.

The Polynesian is great because it is right on the monorail line.  Hop on the monorail and you are  minutes from the Magic Kingdom.   You are also just a short walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center where you can catch the monorail to Epcot.   I also love the Polynesian beach, especially in the evenings.  We like to enjoy the Magic Kingdom fireworks as the kids play in the sand.   Captain Cooks, a counter service restaurant, is also great with kids.  We love to grab breakfast and sit outside in the mornings before heading out to the parks.

The Beach Club is also fabulous!   It is within walking distance to Epcot, and you can either walk to take a boat to Hollywood Studios.   The Beach Club is home to Stormalong Bay, in my opinion the best pool on WDW property!   Evenings are nice at the Beach Club.   You can take a stroll, get ice cream, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Boardwalk.

So which should you pick?  With small kids, my choice is the Polynesian since you will probably spend a lot of time at the Magic Kingdom.   But, if you plan to spend a lot of time swimming at your resort, the the Beach Club might be for you!    Check out both properties on the website to see what which is a better match for you family.  Have fun planning!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
