Hi Susanna! Thanks so much for sharing all of your questions with the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Christmas vacation at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort sounds absolutely magical!
While it will be dependent mostly on the weather, the pools are not typically too crowded during the colder months. While Guests from the north are typically more than comfortable in cooler Florida temperatures, those of us from the southern states typically shy away from the pool because we are chilly. Given your New York residence, I think you will be very comfy!
There is one time of day the pool and pool area may become extremely crowded and that is during the fireworks at
Magic Kingdom. You will have a prime viewing area for the spectacular fireworks display! I'm so excited for you! You are going to love it!
When you aren't enjoying the pool or theme parks, be sure to take a few moments and visit the other Disney Monorail Resort hotels via the
Resort Monorail. The Christmas decorations will take your breath away.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is my favorite. There, you will find an amazing life-size gingerbread house. Each year, Walt Disney World Resort pastry chefs spend over 400 hours baking the gingerbread and more than 160 hours constructing and baking the house. It's magnificent! Inside, you will find The Bake Shop filled with delectable treats including gingerbread houses you can take back to your Resort hotel room and then home.
I couldn't be happier for you! Christmas at Walt Disney World Resort is so special! Enjoy every magical moment of your vacation!!!
