Greetings Marge and welcome back to planDisney!
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is one of my Disney Vacation Club homes, and I have a November reservation waiting for me at the Island Tower! You can find me lounging in a hammock on the sandy beach just outside of the
Wailulu Bar & Grill!
Marge, there are a few different ways to get to the Magic Kingdom from the Island Tower. My favorite way is to take a
water taxi across the Seven Seas Lagoon. You can find the boat dock on the sandy beach in front of the Great Ceremonial House, just past the Lava Pool. The water taxi is such a relaxing and scenic way to get to the Magic Kingdom with views of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, Disney's Contemporary Resort and of course the Magic Kingdom itself!
If you would rather glide to the Magic Kingdom on the
Monorail, you would walk from the Island Tower to the Great Ceremonial House and climb to the second floor where the Monorail station is located. A quick ride will include a stop at the Grand Floridian Resort on your way to visit Mickey and Minnie at the Magic Kingdom!
Marge, you could also make the walk across the Polynesian resort to the Transportation & Ticket Center (TTC) where you could catch a ferry boat across the Seven Seas Lagoon or jump on the monorail at the TTC for a longer ride to the Magic Kingdom. This option would be my last resort because of the longer walk from the Island Tower.
My family loves to stay at our home resort! The Polynesian was our very first stay when my girls were little, and we are now enjoying it with our grandsons! It really does feel like home! My wife and daughters highly recommend the pulled pork nachos at
Capt. Cook's! They go out of their way to order those nachos multiple times during our trip! I enjoy the pepperoni flatbread pizza since I'm the pizza monster in our family!
Marge, have a great adventure and don't forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
