Hello, Desirea!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is one of the original
Disney Resorts Collection hotels at the Walt Disney World Resort and has quickly become a family favorite. While the Resort has been around since 1971, the moment you arrive, you will feel like you have arrived in Motunui.
You must book a Theme Park View room to ensure you have a view of the
Happily Ever After fireworks show. You could also get lucky with a Water View room, but it will depend on the building and room location. On a recent visit, my family and I stayed in the Pago Pago building, which didn’t afford us a view of the fireworks from our room, so we went to the beach just outside the Lava Pool. The music from inside the Magic Kingdom was pumped into speakers on the beach, and we got to view the fireworks as they went off over Seven Seas Lagoon, which was truly magical. If you want a complete Disney experience, stop by
Pineapple Lanai for a DOLE Whip before heading to the beach.
Desirea, I'd be remiss not to recommend enjoying breakfast at
Kona Cafe and trying the Tonga Toast. The ‘Ohana character breakfast is always a must-do, but Kona Cafe shouldn’t be overlooked! I also recommend grabbing a drink at
Tambu Lounge in the Great Ceremonial House. Nothing screams vacation like drinking a Lapu Lapu from a fresh Pineapple!
Let me know if you have any other questions about your upcoming visit!
See you real soon,
Brent
