Is the Polynesian Resort a nice hotel? We have gone past it on our way to the TTC. I do like how you can get on the monorail from the resort. Can you hear the monorail from your room.

The Polynesian is a magical resort!

I was a little reluctant the first time that our family stayed at the Polynesian Resort. I was quickly surprised by the wonderful amenities that the resort offers. While the Lobby doesn’t wow me as the Grand Floridian or Wilderness Lodge does, the resort has so many great qualities. The resort welcomes you with a friendly Aloha greeting and a lei. The rooms are larger than the ones at the Lodges.

On our first visit, we stayed in a room facing the monorail track by request. Our son was 2 and absolutely obsessed with the monorail. We stayed in Aotearoa in a second floor room. The monorail passed right by us, and yet we were never disturbed by the noise.

We have stayed twice in the Tokela building in a first floor patio room. We were greeted by ducks each morning and a short step off the patio afforded us a view of Cinderella’s Castle.

The monorail transportation is very convenient. If you decide to stay elsewhere, stop and have a look around. Just take the resort monorail and take a tour of the Polynesian.  Best wishes!
