Hi there, Jackie--it's a pleasure to welcome you to planDisney. I'm happy to help with your question today so your family can make some special memories together in 2025.
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is a very special place for our family. It's where I first experienced the magic of
Walt Disney World Resort with my grandparents, and many years later, we made it our
Disney Vacation Club Home Resort so the next generation can continue to enjoy this lovely spot.
The over-water Bungalows at the Polynesian are one of the most unique lodging options at Walt Disney World, featuring amazing views of
Magic Kingdom Park and plenty of space for your party (up to 8 adults and 1 infant). Each bungalow even has a private deck and plunge pool!
There are only 20 Bungalows and reservations for these can be in high demand, so it's good that you're thinking ahead to next summer. Although the Bungalows are open to Disney Vacation Club Members using Vacation Points, Guests can sometimes book a cash stay, depending on availability. I recommend
calling the Walt Disney World Reservations line as soon as possible to discuss your options.
Jackie, if the Bungalows aren't available for your summer 2025 dates, many other resorts offer 3-Bedroom Grand Villas. These may be a great option for your family as they have plenty of space for a large group and give a nice balance of privacy (which can be helpful if someone has medical needs) and common spaces to come together. If you have your heart set on being near Magic Kingdom Park, you can find 3-Bedroom Villas at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa,
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, or
Copper Creek Cabins & Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.
I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes, and I am sending my thoughts to your family, especially your dad. If you have additional questions as you're planning your trip, please feel free to
reach out directly--I'm also a nurse and can help think through ways to keep Guests with medical needs comfortable while still being part of the fun!
Stay Magical...
Susan
