How would we get from the Polynesian to Hollywood Studios and back again? I cannot tell if the monorail connects the two or if Disney buses are currently available? (We are doing Disney Dec. 2021.) Thank you!

Hello, Amanda, and welcome to planDisney. I see that you have a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth planned for later this year. How exciting! I love visiting during the holidays, everything is so festive and fun. You are going to have such a magical and memorable time!

First off, I wanted to tell you that you picked a great resort to stay at! Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of my absolute favorites! They also provide great transportation options from that resort. To get from your resort over to Disney's Hollywood Studios you will need to use the complimentary bus service that will take you straight there.

From Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, the monorail does a big loop. You'll board the monorail and it will make stops at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Contemporary Resort, the Transportation and Ticket Center and then back to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. If you are traveling to Epcot, you can also use the monorail to get there. You'll get off at the Transportation and Ticket Center and then switch lines over to Epcot. There is also a walking path from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort over to the Transportation and Ticket Center that is actually a more convenient way of getting over there if you are planning on using the monorail over to Epcot. There is also a water taxi that will take you to and from the resort over to Magic Kingdom Park. If you are wanting to get to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney Springs or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park there are direct complimentary busses that will take you there as well.

So as you can see Disney's Polynesian Village Resort has every mode of transportation to get you to where you want to go. I hope this helps, Amanda. If you have any other questions about your resort or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help!

Have a great day and enjoy your trip.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
