Hello again Amanda, and thanks for returning to planDisney with another great question for us to help you with.
Firstly, I'd like to begin by providing some reassurance that Guests with specific medical dietary needs, or any
Special Dietary Requests, should discover
dining at Walt Disney World Resort to be served with a bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!
For instance, it might be helpful for you to know that my husband, as a Type 2 medicated Diabetic visiting Walt Disney World Resort, has always found Cast Members to be super accommodating to his personal dietary needs.
In our own experience of
dining in restaurants on Disney property, Guests are always made welcome to discuss their dining needs with their server; for instance, if you wished to enquire about ordering smaller-sized portions. If necessary, it should also be possible to request to speak directly with a chef so that they may gain a better understanding of your own particular needs.
Prior to arrival at
Walt Disney World Resort, Guests may also opt to connect with Cast Members in the Special Diets Team by emailing any specific concerns to:
special.diets@disneyworld.comIn answer to your question Amanda, concerning ordering starters as mains, or items from the children's menu, yes indeed Guests are more than welcome to order in this way. However, it is worth bearing in mind that Guests should always budget accordingly to be charged from the adult menu.
Amanda, I hope that I've been able to provide some pixie-dusted advice for you today. If you should have any further questions regarding your upcoming jolly holiday to the magic of Walt Disney World Resort, then please do pop back to
me here at planDisney.Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
