Hey James!
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind isn’t just a ride, it’s an intergalactic mission of epic proportions! Did you know it’s one of the longest enclosed coasters in the entire galaxy? Okay, maybe just on Earth, but still pretty impressive. My whole crew absolutely loves this attraction, so I totally get why you’d want to make it a top priority. And trust me, when it comes to popular rides, the earlier, the better...unless you’ve got Rocket hacking the queue system, which, unfortunately, is frowned upon by the Nova Corps.
Here’s the lowdown on Disney transportation. You are correct that the
monorail typically starts running 30 minutes before early entry. Buses typically start about 45 minutes before, giving a slight edge over the monorail. The
Disney Skyliner is a bit more unpredictable, beginning anywhere from 45 to 60 minutes before opening and dropping guests at EPCOT’s International Gateway. Resorts like Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk Inn, Dolphin, and Swan also have quick access to this entrance. If you want to be among the first in line, resorts with bus access might give you a slight head start. I say "might" because there are many variables that can impact the
Disney buses.
Now, if you’re looking to cut your wait time, here are my two favorite options, the catch is they both add a bit of cost. But for my family, they are worth it:
Lightning Lane Single Pass can help you avoid the rope drop hustle. These sell out fast, so grab them as soon as your purchase window opens. Ride Share services like Uber or Lyft are another great option. Arriving an hour before the park opening can land you right at the front of the action, just don’t let Drax drive.
I hope this helps with your mission planning. And if you see Rocket, tell him I’m still waiting on that mixtape he promised me.
Safe travels,
Anne
