Going to Poly with husband, no kids, torn between dinner at Kona Cafe or Ohana? Which has better food? Is entertainment at Ohana all kid oriented? My huband and I did eat at Whispering Canyon last year and enjoyed it, is Ohana like that?

    Hi Renee!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

Both Ohana and Kona Cafe are favorite restaurants of mine; however, Ohana is my absolute favorite restaurant in Walt Disney World.  I love the food there and the atmosphere, and while I think it is expensive, I don't think it is over the top price-wise.

The entertainment at Ohana is pretty much all kid oriented.  There will usually be a coconut race and a limbo "march" / dance line.  I think the entertainment works best for tweens and below.  Pretty much the same age range as the Whispering Canyon Cafe in my opinion.  However, an adult only table would feel right at home at Ohana.

Kona Cafe has some good food, but the atmosphere is not as nice.  However, you can not go wrong with either choice.  I suggest visiting the independent website AllEars.Net if you want to see the menu, including prices, at Kona.  One option might be to have breakfast at Kona and dinner at Ohana.  Breakfast at the Kona Cafe is one my favorite places!

Good luck with your decision, and please write back with more questions!
