What is the policy for a 4-5 year old to dress up at the park? She has a few of the princess dresses she would love to wear and also we want to go to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Hello again Emily, I'd like to wish you a very Royal welcome back to planDisney!

From the looks of it, you've definitely got a whole lot of questions ahead of your next visit to Walt Disney World Resort and we're always happy to answer them! I'm especially honored to be the one to bestow you with some knightly knowledge about what your young adventurer can wear to the Theme Parks during their visit.

Take it from a Prince, there's really nothing like dressing up in your regal best and it's great that you've already got some dresses inspired by some of our Princess friends ready to go! In fact, guests who are 13 years of age or younger are currently able to wear costumes at the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks according to the current attire policy, which applies throughout the year and not just during special events like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party which has its own set of costume guidelines. (Some important things to consider specific to dresses are to ensure that they are not dragging nor touching the ground, and that they're comfortable enough to wear during longer shows or meals without the layers starting to itch as they're sitting on it.)

Bear in mind that depending on the package that you choose to book at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, there's often an outfit that comes included to add to your current costume collection. As a proud Duncle (Disney Uncle), I think it's so great when the little ones get to undergo a transformation that makes them feel awesome when they look in the mirror and get to put on something that allows them to live their own adventures as they roam the Theme Parks. Something I highly recommend is looking into a Capture Your Moment photo session in Fantasyland; we recently booked back-to-back spaces this year and it is such a great way to feel like royalty and have so many fantastic photos taken by your personal Disney PhotoPass photographer.

I hope that this helped you out Emily, we definitely can't wait to see what other questions we'll be able to answer for you here at planDisney!

Here's to looking your best and being royally dressed at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
