What is the policy for canceling an ADR at a restaurant that requires a credit card confirmation? Is it 24 hours in advance of the ADR time or is it simply anytime the day prior to the ADR? How late can you show up without being charged the $10 pp fee?

Hi Rodney! It is always good to be careful with the dining reservations made with a credit card guarantee. Things will come up when you want to change your plans during the Disney vacation and Disney understands this.  When it says 24 hours it is not simply the day before. I always consider this as a day and a half needed to cancel to be sure especially if it is an early morning breakfast. Best to do that the night before the 24 hour mark.

Most restaurants have the unwritten rule that they will keep a reservation for about 15 minutes before it is "let go". Once they release it you would be then liable to pay for the cancellation fees attached to it. We unfortunately had to cancel a large reservation at the California Grill once due to illness etc and had to pay the fees for each single reservation person. I understand the rule as these are very popular places and if you know you can't get there it allows other guests to enjoy the experience.
