Hiya, Melinda!
Welcome Home! And, a great big beautiful welcome to planDisney. How exciting that you are planning your next Disney Vacation Club stay. As a Member for the last 22 years, I love helping fellow neighbors with their Disney Vacation Club questions. After all, it's the most magical neighborhood on earth!
Melinda, when you book your next stay, typically, the system will use your current Use Year Vacation Points before borrowing from the next
Use Year. So you should be all set with that. If you have concerns about booking to make sure your current Use Year Vacation Points are used first, you can call
Member Services to help you make the booking.
The one thing to note, though, is your Use Year. If you have 2025 Vacation Points that you are using, if you have passed their
banking deadline, they have to be used (meaning travel completed) by the end of that Use Year. For example, if you have a January Use Year, your next Use Year begins on the 1st of the month. If you haven't banked your 2025 Vacation Points, those Vacation Points have to be used by (travel completed) December 31, 2025. So, that is the one thing to pay attention to when trying to use your 2025 Vacation Points first. If, for example, you have an October Use Year, then you have until September 30th to use your 2025 Vacation Points (or they have to be banked by
May 31st.) But if you are still in your 2025 Use Year, you can use those first before borrowing your 2026 Vacation Points.
I hope this helps you, Melinda! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, stop back here to see me and I'll be so happy to help you.
Magically Yours,
Keri
