I have 124 points for Use Year Dec 2022. When can I bank it for Use Year Dec 2023? Thanks

    Hi Marjorie Jane!

As a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, I'm happy to welcome you to planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with your question. If you're already thinking about banking your Vacation Points for the upcoming Use Year, I bet you're planning something exciting for your next DVC visit!

If you ask me, that's the coolest thing about Vacation Points –– they're designed for you to create the types of magical Membership experiences that work best for your family.  Need a few extra Points for that Theme Park View 1-Bedroom at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort? You can borrow them from your upcoming Use Year to book your reservation.  Saving up for a special celebration in an overwater Bungalow at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows? Go ahead and bank up to 100% of your Points to the next Use Year so you'll have what you need. And since we're talking about banking your Points, let me share a few details about how the banking process works so you'll be all set to save your Vacation Points for your next DVC adventure.

You can begin banking your Vacation Points to the upcoming Use Year as soon as the current Use Year begins. This means that if you have a December Use Year, you'll be able to bank your 2022 Points beginning December 1, 2022. Once those Points have been banked to 2023, they become 2023 Vacation Points, which means they will expire after November 30, 2023. And while your Points don't have to be banked on the first day your Use Year begins, just keep in mind those Points can only be banked in months 1-8 of your Year.  That means you'll be able to book next year's Points from December 1st through July 31st.

While you can give Member Services a call at (800) 800-9800 to bank your Vacation Points, I think the easiest way to do it is right from the DVC website.  All you'll need to do is sign in with your DVC account credentials and head to your Member Dashboard.  Once you're there, click on "Manage Vacation Points" and then click on the blue "Bank Vacation Points" button on the next screen.  From there, just follow the onscreen prompts to finish banking as many of your current Use Year Points as you'd like.  It takes just a few minutes and then you'll be all set to plan your next big Disney Vacation Club visit!

Thanks so much for dropping by planDisney, Marjorie Jane.  I hope this helped to answer your question, but if your need more information about your Disney Vacation Club Membership, feel free to visit us again!

    Happy Planning,
