Welcome Home, Kristina! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney--it's great to meet a fellow Michigander (Go Blue!) AND Disney Vacation Club Member. If you're anything like me, you're ready to trade our chilly Midwest weather for some Florida sunshine! There are so many great ways to use your Vacation Points for all sorts of magical vacations, but sometimes the ins and outs of banking and borrowing can get a little confusing. Let's break down the basics!
A handy tip--someone once told me to think of each point as a time traveler that can move between Use Years one time. Once points are banked or borrowed into another Use Year, they can't move again. This means that if you do bank points into your next Use Year, they must be used in that timeframe. Banked points also cannot be borrowed or transferred to another Member. I'm not sure what your Use Year is, Kristina, so let me share the handy banking chart from the DVC website! The Rule of Four applies to banking deadlines, which just means that you have to complete transactions before the last four months of your Use Year. I have a June Use Year, so I need to have my plans in place by January 31 each year. Banking can be completed online via the Member website, or you can contact Member Services for their expert help!Kristina, I hope this information is what you need to make some plans for your next Disney getaway! If I can help with any other questions about DVC or Walt Disney World Resort, please reach out anytime. Thanks again for stopping by planDisney!Stay Magical!Susan
