Ahoy there, Joshua!
Welcome Home! Thank you for sailing by planDisney with your excellent question. Joshua, don't you love the flexibility of Disney Vacation Club? Being able to use our Vacation Points to sail off into the great wide somewhere is just one of the many magical benefits of Membership. Our family has done this several times, and it's just one of the many ways Disney Vacation Club has granted the wish our hearts made of affordable family vacations year after year.
I dug up some buried treasure for you Joshua, and I have linked to the
Disney Cruise Line Points Charts for you here. The number of Vacation Points will vary based on the ship, destination, dates of sailing, and stateroom category and type. So I can't give you a specific answer here, but by using these Points Charts, you should be able to find some options so that your cruise vacation dreams can come true.
For future reference, you can get to this same page to find Vacation Points Charts for Disney Cruise Line by visiting the
Disney Vacation Club site and following these steps. First, select the Destination tab and then choose
Disney Cruise Line. From here, you can select the cruises you are interested in or choose "View All Points Charts," which will show you how many Vacation Points it will be for each sailing date, based on stateroom category, length of cruise, ship, destination, and season.
Then, once you found your dream vacation, call
DVC Member Services. When you hear the recording, select Member Services and then select Disney Cruise Line. Like magic, the helpful Cast Members will turn your Vacation Points into Reservation Points, check availability and make the booking for you. Please note there is currently a $95 service fee for any booking and the price is subject to change.
Also, remember to check out the
Member Benefits page and see the ways in which eligible Disney Vacation Club Members can save while sailing the high seas. I hope you enjoy your Disney Cruise Line vacation because adventure is out there! If you have any more DVC or vacation planning questions, be sure to
stop back here and I'll be happy to help you.
Bon Voyage,
Keri
