Welcome Home, Ken!
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney today. Ken, don't you just love the flexibility of Disney Vacation Club? Getting to enjoy affordable family vacations year after year in the way that works best for each family is a wonderful way to maximize the magic.
The
Membership Magic Beyond offers even more flexibility. I love the option to use Vacation Points for purchasing the Disney Sorcerer Pass, as it is a great way to add even more value to your vacation.
Ken, I chatted with a Disney Vacation Club Cast Member who told me that unfortunately, Vacation Club Points that are in holding
can't be used to purchase a Disney Sorcerer Pass. The points in a
Holding Account have to be used by the end of your Use Year and reservations must be made within 60 days of your Check-In. Vacation Points in a Holding Account also cannot be banked or borrowed. This may be the reason they can't be used to purchase the Sorcerer Pass.
You can use your Use Year Vacation Points, Borrowed Vacation Points, or One-Time Use Vacation Points to purchase the Sorcerer Pass with Membership Magic Beyond. A new pass can be purchased for 75 points and a renewed pass can be purchased for 65 points (both subject to change.) I found this
helpful FAQ page that provides additional information. If you decide to use your Vacation Points to make this purchase, you would just need to
call Disney Vacation Club to assist you as this transaction can't be done online.
I hope this helps you, Ken! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, soar back here to see me and I'll be so happy to help you.
Magically Yours,
Keri
