Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Patricia!
You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney. As a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member, I know how frustrating it can be when you're approaching the end of your Use Year with unused Vacation Points. Seriously, is there anything that feels worse than knowing some of your precious Points might go to waste? I'm sorry that you're having trouble finding a last-minute Disney Vacation Club Reservation, but I'm happy to help you explore the options for your remaining Points.
Since your window to bank your Vacation Points to your next Use Year has already closed, your best bet for keeping any unused Vacation Points from expiring is probably to deposit them for an exchange with Disney Vacation Club's newest partner,
Interval International. With thousands of Resorts available across the globe, you're sure to find somewhere fantastic for your next travel adventure. For all the details about making an Interval International Exchange, I recommend giving Member Services a call at (800) 800-9800, where a Cast Member will be happy to
give you the details about making an exchange and begin the transfer process. If you'd like, you can also use the chat feature on the Walt Disney World website to speak with a Cast Member about the ins and outs of banking Points with Interval International, as well –– lately, wait times to chat with a Member Services Cast Member have been much shorter than calling, so this has quickly become my favorite way contact Disney Vacation Club. Just be sure to have your Member number handy before beginning the chat to help expedite the process of verifying your account.
If you have unused Vacation Points in the future, I definitely suggest marking your Points banking window on a calendar. Remember,
up to 100 percent of your Vacation Points can be banked during months 1-8 of your Use Year. For instance, if you have an August Use Year, this means you'll be able to bank your Points to your upcoming year from August 1st through March 31st each year. For me, this is the best way to make the most of any surplus Vacation Points, plus it's a great way to save up for an extra-special stay (or to squeeze in an additional trip or two the following year).
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney, Patricia. I hope this helped to answer your question, and no matter where you choose to roam, I'm wishing you lots of Membership magic during your upcoming travels!
Happy Planning,
Amy
