I have points to use before the end of my use year. My use year is Feb, is that Feb 1 or Feb 28?

    Hey There, Diane!

As a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, I'm happy to welcome you to planDisney.  Thanks so much for dropping by with your question today.  One of my favorite parts of Disney Vacation Club Membership is having the flexibility to use our Vacation Points however we choose throughout each Use Year.  So whether you're the kind of vacationer that likes to use all your Points for one big Walt Disney World Resort visit, or prefers to separate your Points into shorter stays throughout the year, you have plenty of options to create some Disney magic whatever way that works best for your family.  So, to help you make the most of those Vacation Points, let me share a few details about your Use Year that you'll definitely want to keep fresh in your mind.

When we talk about your Use Year, this refers to the period of time between getting your annual allotment of Vacation Points each year and the date those Points expire.  Each year, that Points allotment will be loaded to your Disney Vacation Club account on the first day of your Use Year month and will expire the following year on the day before your new Use Year begins. This means that if you have a February Use Year, your 2023 Vacation Points will be available between February 1, 2023 and January 31, 2024.  Likewise, the Points from your current 2022 Use Year will expire on January 31, 2023.

In addition to your Use Year dates, the other Membership date I recommend keeping a close eye on is the date your banking window closes. Remember, you'll be able to bank up to 100 percent of your Vacation Points, each year, at any time in months one through eight.  With a February Use Year, that means you'll be able to bank your Vacation Points between February 1st and September 30th each year.  You can either bank your Points by calling Member Services at (800) 800-9800 or signing in to your Member Dashboard on the DVC website.

Thanks for visiting planDisney, Diane.  I hope this helped to answer your question, but if you need more information about this or any other part of your Disney Vacation Club Membership, please don't hesitate to stop by again –– we're always here to lend a helping hand!

    Have a Magical Day,
