    Can we use points for the dining plan? Are there times during the year that the dining plan is discounted for members? Lastly, if we purchase the dining plan with a scheduled vacation and a deal pops up, can we switch or be refunded the difference? Thanks!

    Hi Mary! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We love the Disney Dining Plan when we visit Walt Disney World Resort, it's convenient and our kids think it's super cool. I appreciate the dollar for dollar compared savings and I love knowing the bulk of our dining expenses are taken care of.

    You cannot use your Disney Vacation Club points to the Disney Dining plan, and there are no promotional discount offers to purchase the plan. Disney Vacation Club members do receive 10-20% off discounts when dining at certain restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort and other Disney destinations (Disneyland, Aulani, Vero Beach and Hilton Head). Members also enjoy discounts on select spa treatments, merchandise and theme park tours and theme park annual passes.

    The coveted "free" dining promotion is very popular and only offered at select Disney resorts usually during the off peak season. Disney Vacation Club members who use points for their resort stay are not eligible for the free dining promotion. In order to take advantage of this kind of promotion you would have to pay cash for your resort accommodations.
