Hello Pam, welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for bringing your
Disney Vacation Club question here today. I'm happy to chat about borrowing Vacation Points, it's a great way to stay in slightly larger accommodations, extend your vacation or even vacation more than once during the same year.
A Disney Vacation Club Membership allows its Members to customize a vacation and choose from several Villa types at many Disney resorts and destinations. My family recently borrowed Vacation Points for a dream vacation at
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. It was a multi-generational trip and we loved having the extra space by choosing a 2-Bdr Villa - we couldn't have done it without borrowing Points.
Disney Vacation Club Members can choose to borrow any unused Vacation Points from the next Use Year. If you are in your 2025 Use Year, you can borrow your 2026 Vacation Points for your reservation. Borrowing Vacation Points must happen when
confirming a reservation. This can be completed online when reserving a Disney Vacation Club Resort or if you prefer speaking to someone, you can call
Member Services for assistance. It is important to note that when you borrow Points, all transactions are final. Your borrowed Points stay in the current Use Year even in the event you cancel the reservation. There is also the option to purchase
One-time-use Vacation Points (Members can purchase up to 24 additional Points per year).

Pam, I hope this helps clear things up so you can begin booking your accommodations for your upcoming trip. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to planDisney. I'm happy to help!
Happy planning!
