Ahoy, Breanna! I am so glad you came to planDisney with questions about your upcoming cruise. I am counting the days until the
booking window for my cruise opens in a few months. I can feel the excitement of making these last plans before the joy of arriving at the port.
While you cannot see the specific availability for your cruise until you are paid in full and your booking date, you can go online and see the
Port Adventures generally offered at your cruise destinations. A search tool will help you sort by port; experience type (such as sightseeing, nature, culinary, private tours, etc.); activity level; accessibility needs; and price. You can use as many or as few filters to find the excursions that interest you. Because there is some variability in what may be offered and available when you cruise, I always recommend looking with the widest eyes possible and creating a list with a few options ready for when your reservation time comes.
You can also do the same for
Onboard Activities. Not many of these need to be booked in advance, but spa services, adult-exclusive dining (like my favorite,
Palo), and some character experiences, like
Royal Court Tea Party, tend to book quickly.
Most cruises have a Facebook group exclusive to each sailing. What I have found is members of the Facebook cruise groups asking Pearl, Platinum and Gold Castaway Club level members about availability once their booking window opens. It is no guarantee of what will still be available when you can book, but if you know all the family cabanas at
Castaway Cay are reserved, you may decide you do not need to stay up until midnight just in hope one is still available.
The time is getting close for your magical time at sea! If we can help answer any other questions, please come back to
planDisney. We are here for you!
Happy Cruising!
