Hello Kerry Anne! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter offers exquisite theme, excellent recreation and dining options while also being the most compact Moderate offering at Walt Disney World Resort.
There are a few things to consider when choosing a room type at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter.
Buildings 2 and 5 do not have Standard Rooms. These buildings are centrally-located close to the Pool Area,
The Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory and Main Lobby.
The Standard Rooms are located in buildings 1, 3, 4 and 7. Buildings 3 and 4 are not too far away from the Main Building and some rooms will be a closer than River View or Garden View Rooms in Buildings 2, 5 or 6.
If your are looking for a Standard Room and your priority is to be close to the main features of Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, request a room in building 3 or 4. When you
Check-In Online up to 60 days in advance, I recommend that you select the "Near Transportation" option as the bus depot is close to the Main Building at Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter. To make a specific building or room request directly, you may ask to speak with a room allocation Cast Member at (407)934-5000, or send a fax to (407)934-5353. While Cast Members cannot guarantee to fulfill specific requests, they do everything they can to accommodate Guests needs.
Make sure to try the beignets at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory...they're delicious.
Have a Magical Vacation!
