Hey Howdy Hey Amy and welcome to planDisney!
I am so excited for you to have the experience of being in the Most Magical Place on Earth during the most magical time of the year. There will be so many exciting things happening during your stay to make it a very merry vacation! Thank you for your question about the special tickets as these tickets have very specific terms to be used. Let's review how the process should go!
The tickets that you have linked to your
My Disney Experience account should specifically say something along the lines of "use after 5:00 p.m.". The others will be single or multi-day tickets depending on how you purchased them. As long as they are linked and present, you should not have to specify which tickets you will be using and when. This will be true as long as you use them how they specifically say. If you try to tap into the parks at say 4:00 p.m. the system will automatically take one full-day ticket as the 5:00 p.m. one is not valid at that time. As long as it is 5:00 p.m. or later, the system should take the after 5:00 p.m. ticket. That being said, if for some reason you go to enter the parks and you are stopped as not having a valid ticket, the Cast Members can go into your account and see the error in the system and easily correct it. This happened to me once and took maybe 2 minutes for the Cast Members to correct and was not a big deal.
