We have 6:15 pm reservations at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. I'd like to see Illuminations at Epcot that night as well. Do you think that's possible? If so, what would be the quickest route to get to Epcot? Truly appreciate all the advice!!!

    Tobi:

I have to be honest. I don't think you can make the IllumiNations show at Epcot at 9 p.m. if you're going to enjoy the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness. First, the dinner show won't be over until after 8 p.m., leaving you less than an hour to make the trip to Epcot. Even if you drive your own car to Fort Wilderness, you'll have to ride one of the fort's internal buses from Pioneer Hall out to the Outpost Bus Stop at the front of the resort and walk to your car. From there, you'll still have a 10-to15-minute drive over to Epcot and then have to find a parking space and get in the gates of Epcot before the show begins. Taking the ferry from Fort Wilderness to the Contemporary and then the monorail to Epcot doesn't save you any time either.

A better plan would be to enjoy the fireworks of Magic Kingdom either from the fort's marina (although a portion of the show is obstructed) or to ride the ferry to the Contemporary and then make your way to the Ticket and Transportation Center via the monorail for a good view.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
