Hiya Becky - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks for swinging by with a question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical,
Walt Disney World Resort vacations!
Visiting Oga's
notorious watering hole, sipping on a Jedi Mind Trick (my favorite concoction) while enjoying droid DJ R-3X's tunes, is a great way to extend your evening visit to Black Spire Outpost!
It's important to know that
an advance dining reservation does not guarantee access to a Theme Park. For this reason, it is recommended that Guests have a
Park Pass Reservation for the Theme Park they have a dining reservation in. That being said, we haven't been seeing a need for restrictions on Park Hopping lately, so it's unlikely to be an issue unless you are visiting on an exceptionally busy day. For example, around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays or on a day when special events are taking place.
If you have a Park Pass Reservation for a park other than Disney's Hollywood Studios on the day you have a reservation for Oga's Cantina, you will be eligible to hop to Hollywood Studios beginning at 2 p.m. (if available). If you are concerned, I recommend switching your Park Pass Reservation to Hollywood Studios for that day. Or, you can talk with Cast Members that day and ask about attendance and capacity - most are able to provide good day-of advice to help you make decisions. For example, they may advise you to hop to Hollywood Studios as close to 2 p.m. as possible if it's looking like the park may reach capacity later in the afternoon.
Otherwise, Hollywood Studios typically closes around 8 or 9 p.m., and you'll need to walk from the entrance to
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, so I would plan to arrive no later than 10 minutes before the park's posted closing time or about 30 minutes before your reservation, whichever is earlier.
If you have some extra time to spend in Hollywood Studios, be sure to check out
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway - I usually prefer more extreme attractions, but this is my absolute favorite family-friendly experience!
