I have a 5:45pm dining reservation at the 50's Prime Time Cafe. Will I have enough time to eat and then make the 7:30pm Fantasmic show?

Hi William!  You will be dining at one of our family's all time favorite Disney restaurant.  We often split our love between the meat loaf and the pot roast!

There are two issues with your timing that might make it hard to do both.  First of all the 5:45pm time is not a definite time for you to be seated and get a table.  You need to check in at this time and then your name goes on the preferred list for the next available table. This can sometimes take as long as 30 minutes.  It will all depend on the crowd for that day and any other unforseen circumstances within the restaurant.

Your second issue will be getting into the Fantasmic Show.  Many guests line up an hour before the show time to get a good seat.  You would be racing over there to hopefully get a seat at all and certainly the closer seats will be taken by that time. Many guests don't mind being in the back so it is something to consider.

It is possible to do both but you need to be aware of the issues.  I always hate to see families race and stress out to experience a bit of Disney. Sometimes it is the only way to squeeze it all in!
