We have an 8pm Citrico's ADR. What time should we leave Animal Kingdom to get back to Caribbean Resort, allowing 30 minutes to freshen up before heading over to Grand Floridian? Are buses our only option? Thanks!

    Hello Denise!

Thanks so much for popping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question!
I'm happy to assist you with your inquiry. I'm all about maximizing my time in the parks, so it's a great plan to have a bit of a 'schedule' in mind when you want to make it to a fantastic dining reservation like Citricos with a bit of time to spare!

Using Disney Transportation bus services is your best 'free' option to get around. Alternatively, for this particular dinner, you may consider using a taxi as an alternate, more expedient option. You'll find the cost to be about $15-20 including tip. If using this option, plan to leave Caribbean Beach Resort as late as 7:15pm which means you can stay at Animal Kingdom until as late as 5:30/5:45pm if you wish.

If using Disney Transportation buses, depart Animal Kingdom Park and head to the bus stop no later than 5:00pm. Buses arrives every 20 minutes or less to transport you to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. You should be back to your room before 6:00pm. After freshening up, head back out to the bus stop and board a bus headed for Magic Kingdom no later than 6:45/7:00pm. Upon arrival at Magic Kingdom you can opt to take a Resort Launch (boat) over to Disney's Grand Floridian or board the Resort Monorail to reach your destination.

If a bus headed to Downtown Disney or Disney's Hollywood Studios should arrive at Caribbean Beach sooner than a bus headed for Magic Kingdom, consider utilizing this method to then transfer to a bus headed directly to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort.

I hope this information helps you out Denise!
If you have additional questions about your upcoming visit, please feel free to write me back any time. I'd love to hear from you again!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
