We have a 4pm Bibbidi appointment at Magic Kingdom and tickets to Mickey’s VMC party. How early do we need to be in MK to be first in line for the 4pm entry and not miss our Bibbidi appt.

Hiya, Xenia! I'm always happy to help every Guest, but I always get a smile on my face when it's a fellow NJ resident.

So before I answer your question, I feel like I must first introduce myself by describing a part of me that will help you to see where I'm coming from. I am the guy who arrives way too early to the airport for a flight (especially since I have TSA Pre-Check) just to rush to the gate and stare anxiously at it for fear of somehow, mysteriously, and inexplicably missing my flight. What could possibly happen that I'd miss my flight when I've arrived hours early at the actual gate my flight is taking off from?! Who knows? But Xenia, I hope I never find out.

Cast Members are unlikely to let you into Magic Kingdom Park with a Mickey's Very Merry Party Christmas Party ticket much earlier than 4 p.m. As such, if you want to avoid the mad dash and the possibility of being late, I would first see if you can reschedule your appointment to at least 4:15 p.m. This is because once they let you in, you must get your wristband for the party and make your way to Cinderella Castle. However, I understand that this is a hard reservation to book so if you are unable to reschedule, I'd recommend planning to be at the park gates at least an hour early (3 p.m.). You'll still run the risk of being late, but not as late as you'd be if you tried to stroll up to the gates at 3:45 p.m. or 4 p.m.

If your soon-to-be royalty has never been to the parks before, take a page from my sister's book. When we rope-dropped Magic Kingdom Park for the first time with my niece and nephew to be one of the first on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, she said to the kids, "There are going to be many cool things you're going to want to stop and look at. But don't. We are going on an amazing ride and we don't want to wait too long so we're going to walk quickly, without stopping, toward that ride. We will come back and see all the wonderful sights later." And it worked! We were on and off that exhilarating ride in no time and then we could stroll back toward Main Street, U.S.A. and take in all the sights! Of course, this was before the convenience of the Disney Genie+ Service and Individual Lightning Lanes.

Xenia, with all the rushing around, we can sometimes forget to stop and take it all in, be present with the ones we love, and just enjoy the moment. I hope that your vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort is full of those moments. If you have any other questions, please reach out directly to me and I'll get those answers to you faster than you can say, "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!"
