Hi, Jacqui! I would be happy to help you plan your vacation...that's what I'm here for! It sounds like you've got some great plans already. You simply need to fine tune them a little bit.
First of all, if you haven't already, head over to make your
Advanced Dining Reservations. This will help guide you on what parks you'll need to be in and when. If you're not interested in table-service meals and quick-service is more your style, then check out calendars for the individual parks. I've linked the August calendar for:
Magic Kingdom,
Epcot,
Hollywood Studios,
Animal Kingdom,
Blizzard Beach and
Typhoon Lagoon. Be sure to click on the individual days you're there to make specific plans concerning Extra Magic Hours and entertainment schedules.
As for me, I like to plan at least one day for each of the four theme parks and at least a 1/2-day at each of the two water parks. With older kids in the summer, we enjoy hitting the pool or water parks during the hottest parts of the day and taking advantage of EMHs at night (and into the wee hours of the morning)!
Once your dining plans and daily park hours are determined, you are certainly welcome to write back for more specific recommendations. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
