Pls help! My fiance is panicking planning meals for our 10 day DW honeymoon. Do you have any tips to make this process simpler? Would you recommend booking restaurants in the park we plan to visit that day, or is it reasonable to go to a new park?

Hi Kyle, How special to be planning a Disney World honeymoon!!

If you are purchasing the Park Hopper passes, then you can plan to visit restaurants within a Park. Otherwise, with Base Tickets, you will only be able to enter one Park per day (so you should choose restaurants based on which Park you'll be in that day). We generally don't buy the Hopper pass when we go, but always plan our Dining 180 days ahead of time. Here's what we do:

Prior to making our Advanced Dining Reservations, we "map" out our week on paper. We pick which Park to go to on which day based on when the "must-see events" are. For example, Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios is only shown 2-3 nights a week in the Fall (when we often visit Disney World). We look at the online calendar & choose a day that Fantasmic is shown. That becomes our Hollywood Studios day and we book Dining accordingly. We do the same for when the SpectroMagic parade is being shown at the Magic Kingdom. IllumiNations, at Epcot is shown nightly at 9pm (weather permitting). So essentially, any day can be an Epcot day. On days that we choose to go to a Water Park or relax by the pool, we choose a restaurant inside a Resort. It doesn't have to be your Resort, it can be any on Disney property. In fact, many of our favorite restaurants are located inside the various Resorts. We often will leave Magic Kingdom at dinner time, jump on the monorail and eat our meal at either Chef Mickey's (in Contemporary) or 'Ohana (in Polynesian). Then we'll head back to the Magic Kingdom for SpectroMagic and Wishes fireworks. On our Animal Kingdom Park days, we always eat dinner at Boma (in Animal Kingdom Lodge).

For a romantic meal, I recommend that you try California Grill, Artists Point or Citricos.

If you haven't done so yet, you'll want to call 407-WDW-DINE to make your Dining Reservations.

Hope this helps and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together,

    Kaylene
