Hi Shera:
Disney World is constantly evolving and coming up with new attractions and entertainment options. While improvement keeps Disney World a fresh experience, occasionally old favorites have to make way for new experiences. In this case, the dance floor you are thinking of was in the fun nightclub, Mannequins, which was part of Downtown Disney's Pleasure Island. Mannequins has since closed, and Downtown Disney is being rethemed into
Disney Springs with new dining and entertainment destinations.
Disney has two entertainment districts where you can catch great music. The
Boardwalk area and
Downtown Disney (soon to be Disney Springs). One of your best bets for live music is Jellyrolls, a dueling piano bar in the Disney Boardwalk entertainment area. Not far away in the Boardwalk area, you can enjoy the music at Atlantic Dance Hall. The music may not always be live, but it's a great place to dance. Also head down to Disney Springs where you'll find House of Blues, a restaurant and club with live music.
Enjoy your vacation.
