Hi Richard! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I hope you are already having an AH-MAZ-ING visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! If you get the chance, make sure to check out the
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. All of the Epcot festivals are SO much fun, especially when it comes to
eating your way around World Showcase. There are some really tasty treats!
Pleasure Island was located in Downtown Disney, now known as
Disney Springs, but it closed in 2008. Even though the clubs of Pleasure Island no longer exist, you are still welcome to visit Disney Springs, and good news, there is no cost! If you are looking for some fun adult hang-outs, I have some suggestions for you.
In Disney Springs,
Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar,
The Edison, and
Wine Bar George are all great spots. My husband and I loved the adult beverages at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar when we visited in January, as well as the outdoor seating area and the food we shared. I highly recommend the Satipo's Empanadas ... delicious!
Over on
Disney's BoardWalk you can enjoy
AbracadaBar for "magical" cocktails,
Atlantic Dance Hall for a late night dance party, or the dueling pianos of
Jellyrolls. Atlantic Dance Hall and Jellyrolls are both open until 2:00 A.M. on most nights, so you will have plenty of time to get your groove on!
One last suggestion is to explore some of the lounges at the
Disney Resort hotels. My favorite is
Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. I have some of the most incredible memories from this fun location and their adult beverages are drool-worthy! The Krakatoa Punch and Tahitian Torch are my beverages of choice. Yummm!
I hope this helps a bit, Richard! Please let us know if you have any other questions!
