Please tell me how to get from our resort, Port Orleans Riverside to Riviera Resort for a dining reservation and how much time we should allow in transportation time thank you

    Welcome BACK, Janey!

I am so pleased to help you plan your most memorable vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth! The standard advice is to plan to allow 90 minutes worth of travel time between your 'start travel' and 'arrive at destination' points. This window takes into account just missing a bus and waiting for the next to arrive, and also any transfers you might have to make. However, depending on which solution you pick below, you might be able to adjust this estimate a bit.

The first suggestion I have for you is to take the wonderfully scenic Ferryboat that connects your resort hotel to Disney Springs, and from Disney Springs you'll transfer to a Walt Disney World Resort Bus directly to Disney's Riviera Resort. Here's a Map of this area. The boat will make two stops at Disney Springs, with the dock in "The Landing" neighborhood being closest to the buses. The Disney bus transportation area is located just behind the Coca-Cola Store. And Pro Tip: You could also hop aboard a bus bound for Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort if one happens to arrive before a bus to the Riviera, as both resort hotels are neighbors connected by many walking paths.

The second suggestion is to take a Disney Bus from Disney's Port Orleans Resort Hotel - Riverside to Disney's Hollywood Studio Theme Park. You won't be entering this theme park, rather just using its transportation depot. From here, you'll be able to board the brand new Disney Skyliner and fly to your dining reservation like Peter Pan on his way to Neverland, minus all that pesky pixie dust. You will technically need to take flight twice as the Hollywood Studios loop does only connect to the Skyliner Transfer Station at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, where upon exiting the first gondola you'll see signage pointing you in the correct direction to board the next cabin to take you on to Disney's Riviera Resort, which is on the same line as the path to Epcot.

Lastly, if you're always running late like me, there's always Disney's Minnie Van Service, which is connected through the ride hailing mobile app Lyft. While this mode of transportation is an additional fee, it offers door-to-door service and shaves a bit of time off your travel time, too.

I hope this was helpful, Janey, and We'll See You Real Soon!
