Hi Angela,
Welcome to planDisney! My family and I just returned from a stay at
The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and it is, without a doubt, one of my favorite places at the Walt Disney World Resort. One night we watched Magic Kingdom Park's new nighttime extravaganza,
Disney Enchantment, from the patio in front of
Gasparilla Island Grill, complete with the soundtrack playing along at the hotel –– it was perfection!
You have several options when it comes to making room requests. You can make requests online by logging into your
My Disney Experience account and hovering over "My Disney Experience" at the top of the page. From the drop-down menu that opens, select "My Plans" to navigate to the next page that shows "Angela's Plans and Tickets" at the top. Under the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section you should see your upcoming Resort reservation, as well as a button on the right that says "Start Check-in" (or "Update Check-in" if you've already started the online check-in process). Next, click on "Show Details" on the right-hand side to expand your check-in options. By selecting "Edit" in the "Room Requests"box, you should be able to make two room requests using the drop-down menus. After making your selections, click on the "I Agree" checkbox at the bottom of the page and hit "Save" to update your requests.
Online room request options differ for each Resort, so there is a chance your specific request won't be available to make online. If this happens, you can dial (407) 939-1936 to speak with a Disney Resort Hotel Reservations Cast Member and add your request over the phone or connect with a Cast Member through the chat feature on the
Walt Disney World Resort website (just be sure to have your confirmation number handy before calling or chatting). If you're a Disney Vacation Club Member, you can also call Member Services at (407) 566-3800 for help with your request.
Thanks for dropping by planDisney, Angela. If you think of more questions as you plan your upcoming vacation, feel free to stop back in –– we're always here to help!
Happy New Year!
Amy
