Hello Donna! I love, love, love your question! Of course you want your granddaughters to have the most magical experience ever during their visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Especially since you are visiting during
The World’s Most Magical Celebration!
At the present time, the Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t announced any parades as part of the 50th-anniversary celebration. However, in the absence of parades, we do know that Magic Kingdom Park has been holding various
cavalcades throughout the day! I have visited the Disney Parks three times since cavalcades replaced parades. I am happy to share that I have seen Mickey, Minnie, the Princesses (and many other characters) so many times! In fact, during our most recent visit (two weeks ago) my youngest son and I lost count of how many characters we were able to see!
Cavalcade times for Magic Kingdom Park are currently available in the
My Disney Experience app. When you go to the app, tap the search icon (the magnifying glass) at the bottom of your screen. Enter “Mickey & Friends Cavalcade.” The showtimes for the day will appear! You can also search for “A Royal Princess Processional” and you will see those times as well!
Donna, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as well as Disney’s Animal Kingdom, also hold their own character appearances as well! These can also be found on the My Disney Experience app! Do a search for “
motorcade” for Disney’s Hollywood Studios! A search for “
flotilla” will also help you find the character appearances at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Finally, you might want to consider Disney Character Dining! Dining locations such as Chef Mickey’s, Tusker House, Garden Grill Restaurant, Hollywood and Vine, and Topolino’s Terrace all offer character dining during part of the day or for the whole day! These are great ways to see the characters (and get some great Disney Dining food)!
