Hello Georgina,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for your question today. I'm thrilled to hear you have an upcoming trip to the Happiest (err - spookiest?) Place on Earth!
The
Events Calendar is your best bet to keep tabs on all the fun things to see and do during your trip - as you mentioned in your question. It is continuously being updated as schedules are finalized, but I do see that it is showing
Halloween Screams with Fireworks at 9:30 PM on October 1.
It doesn't look like there are any showings of Halloween Screams with Projections for October 2 or 3 right now, but I would keep checking as you continue to get closer to that date. I've also found it helpful to visit the
Disney Parks Blog for all the most updated news happening around the Disneyland Resort!
I love
Halloween time at the parks!
Halloween Screams is great, and I'd highly recommend seeing it during your visit, but there are all kinds of other fun things to do during this season as well.
You can stop by
Rancho del Zócalo Restaurante near
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to see the special tribute to
Día de los Muertos. Make sure to also check the
Disneyland mobile app to see where you might catch
costumed characters for a photo! There are also special attraction experiences like
Haunted Mansion Holiday (my favorite!) and
Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark.
Finally, I mentioned the Disney Parks Blog above. They have a series of Foodie Guides where they cover all the delicious offerings you'll find around the resort and they
recently published one for the Halloween season! I love to save this on my phone and use it as a guide to track down all the food and drinks that I'd like to try on my visit. I've found there can often be special offerings at restaurants I don't always visit that I never would have discovered without these helpful articles!
I hope that's helpful, Georgina! Keep an eye on the Events Calendar as you get closer to your visit, but also rest assured that there are so many fun (and delicious!) things to experience during the Halloween Season. Thanks again for your question!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
