Hi - Can you please tell me if they still offer banana splits for dessert? They don't appear on the menu but when we visited last November, they were there. If they are no longer served, we will need to make reservations elsewhere. Thanks!

Hi Denee, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this most delicious question!

I am not sure if you are inquiring about a specific restaurant, but if you are looking for general recommendations for places to indulge in one of my favorite desserts - a Banana Split - I can definitely help you out.

First up is the seriously popular and well-loved Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort. In addition to serving classic banana splits, if you are feeling really adventurous (and hungry), you can even try the Kitchen Sink, which includes a smorgasbord of delectable offerings, including plentiful scoops of ice cream, bananas, cake, cookies, toppings, cream, and cherries. My crew of five tried to devour one earlier this month and it was simply delicious! Be sure to make advance Disney Dining Reservations as this is one place which books up early!

Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop at Disney Springs also fixes up a mean banana split named The Golden Gate, which includes the most decadent ice cream flavors and toppings. And if you need to walk off those calories afterwards, there is plenty of excellent shopping and entertainment nearby.

Denee hopefully you can fit a trip to one of these delicious dining experiences (or both) into your next trip. If there was a specific restaurant you meant to inquire about, please write back and let us know. We would be pleased to help!

    Bon Appetit!
