Please can you tell me if we need to make park reservations each day in 2027, as we did this as madiatory back in 2023. We have 14day park tickets as part of a package bought in the UK. Thank you.

    Hey Caroline,

Welcome to planDisney! How exciting - you’re planning for a visit to Walt Disney World in 2027! Disney just recently announced that Disney World packages for 2027 are open for booking and I love the fact that you have already locked in your stay. It’s always smart to book early.

As for your 14-Day Magic Tickets, I have great news: since they are date-based tickets, park reservations are no longer required. This means that you can be as spontaneous as you like and visit any of the four theme parks without reserving your spot. Remember that your special ticket also allows you to visit multiple theme parks per day. This is a great Magic Ticket perk! On days when one park is a little too crowded, you’ll have the ability to pivot as needed and park hop to another. We love the flexibility that park hopping gives us.

My best planning tip for you is to loosely plan out your park days. Give some thought to which attractions are on your must-do list, which dining experiences you’d like to have and which entertainment experiences you don’t want to miss. Once you have all of this figured out, set a reminder for 60 days prior to your arrival date to book your advance dining reservations. While you’re setting alarms, if you’re staying at a Disney Resort Hotel you may also want to consider setting one for 7 days prior to your arrival if you plan to purchase Lightning Lane passes. These passes allow guests to skip the traditional standby queue for attractions.

Caroline, keep in mind that you don’t need to plan every moment of your visit. Some of the best memories I have in Disney parks were born from the most spontaneous decisions. However, having a general idea of what you’re hoping to accomplish each day and securing your dining reservations will be super helpful. I hope this information helps with your planning. If you need any additional planning help, be sure to stop by planDisney again. We’ll see ya real soon!
