Can you please tell me all I need to know about Mickeys Christmas party please? I'm still very confused about times and how it all works and what all tickets I need.

    Hi Kimberly,
So glad you could join us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Don't worry-we're here to help! This is one of the best parties of the year and I really want you to have a great time.

First, you will need to purchase a separate ticket specifically for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP). Magic Your Way tickets and any sort of passes aren't valid for this special event. The great thing about it is that since it's a limited admission event, the crowds are much smaller than a typical day at the Magic Kingdom during the holiday season.

Your ticket says the party starts at 7 p.m. I'll let you in on a little secret: you can actually enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m. with your MVMCP ticket. Use those extra hours to grab some dinner or enjoy a few extra attractions.

Now for the good stuff! Some not-to-be-missed events include: Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season (best seen from Main Street, U.S.A.-don't miss the magical snowfall while you're there), the Castle Dream Lights on Cinderella Castle (I love watching the lights come on in the evening, so catch that if you can)  and the complimentary cookies and hot cocoa available throughout the Magic Kingdom.

Finally, the attractions! The FastPass+ system isn't used during this event but don't worry, you won't need it. I attended this party last year and we walked on to nearly every single attraction and had a fantastic time.

Kimberly, be sure to get a special event map when you enter the park, as it will give you times for all the events mentioned above, locations for character meet and greets, and the locations of some special edible goodies available only at this event throughout the park.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
