Please can you tell me how long the resort bus service from Animal Kingdom Lodge to Typhoon Lagoon is? Is this a direct service or do we need to go via Disney Springs? Our trip will be in October 2018. Thanks!!

    Welcome BACK, Andrea!

I'm excited that you're coming back HOME to enjoy all of the newness at Walt Disney World Resort! Don't forget to keep up with the Disney Parks Blog as they feature the latest and greatest from around the 'World. (Well, the Walt Disney World.)

The actual drive time between Disney's Resort Hotels to Disney's famed Water Parks does vary, as sometimes there are direct buses (which the drive-time takes about 15 minutes), and sometimes guests are required to take a bus to Disney Springs or to Disney's Animal Kingdom and then transfer. (Which will take longer.)

I'm not sure what your option will be the day you plan to visit Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. But, you won't be completely lost as both the front desk Cast Members will be able to advise you, and the TV monitors that are in all of Disney's Resort Hotel Bus Stops will direct you on how to get there. The monitors update in real-time the arrival of the next Disney Bus heading to all four of Disney's Theme Parks as well as Disney Springs. The Water Parks are also listed, but depending on the season or even how busy that day is, will either show an estimated time for a direct bus OR it will say "Take Bus to Disney Springs, Transfer". Pay attention to the monitors in the days leading up to your Water Park day so you'll be able to best plan.

It's recommended that guests build in an hour and a half for any and every Disney Transportation journey. Buses come around to each of their stops every 20-ish minutes, and I am always the one who walks up to the stop just as the bus is pulling away, so I have to wait for the next one.

I hope this helped, Andrea, and We'll See You Real Soon!
