hi- could you please tell me the fastest, easiest way to get from the Magic Kingdom (on April 23, 2013) to 1900 Park Fare rest. at the Gr Flor.? We have a dining reservation for 6:20 pm. What time shld we leave MK to make it? and best spot for fireworks?

    Hi Danielle,

Your trip is so super close now! Are you too excited to sleep yet?!  I'm so excited to hear that you're dining at Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian.

You actually have two great options to get to the Grand Floridian from the Magic Kingdom. You can take the Resort Monorail Line or a Boat Launch. If you take the Resort Monorail, it will be the 4th stop from the Magic Kingdom.  Once you've boarded the monorail, you're looking at a 15 - 20 minute ride. Once you arrive at the Grand Floridian, you can take the elevator or walk the one flight of stairs down to the main floor of the lobby. 1900 Park Fare is on the left just as you as enter the main lobby of the Grand Floridian.

You can also take a boat launch from the Magic Kingdom to the Grand Floridian.  Its very peaceful and is about a 10 minute ride once you've boarded the boat and set sail.  You'll also need to allow yourself time to walk from the dock to the Main Building of the Grand Floridian.

You'll need to arrive to check-in at 1900 Park Fare 15 minutes prior to your reservation. I'd plan to leave the Magic Kingdom 40 - 45 minutes prior to my reservation time to get to the Grand Floridian.  I never mind being early and always like a little breathing room. If you have time to spare, no worries. The Grand Floridian is beautiful and you won't mind spending a few minutes in the lobby. In fact, you may want to go earlier so you can.

If you're looking for a good spot to view the fireworks from the Grand Floridian following your dinner, I'd head back out towards the boat dock. That's one of our favorite spots at the Grand Floridian.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
