Hi Gillian! Your son is going to have a blast at The Happiest Place on Earth. I have received lots of wonderful, positive feedback from parents of special needs children that have traveled to Disneyland and I'm pleased to tell you that Disneyland will do everything possible to ensure your son has the most magical experience possible!
Did you know that there is a section on the
Disneyland website that is dedicated specifically to guests with special needs!? Here you will be able to find some great information which may help with planning your visit. It is also a good idea to visit City Hall when you arrive at Disneyland to discuss available options that may be available to assist you and your son based on his individual needs!
The most ideal special needs restrooms are located in the First Aid Centers which are located in each theme park. These large, private, and air conditioned restrooms contain changing tables and cots and the cast members on staff will be happy to help you locate a suitable location for your son to rest or be changed in a comfortable atmosphere.
Microwaves are available for public use and are located in the Baby Care Centers in each park.
Disneyland Park First Aid Station and Baby Care Center is located at the end of main street across from the central plaza.
California Adventure's First Aid Station and Baby Care Center is located in the Pacific Wharf area next to the Boudin Bakery Tour.
Hope this helps and PLEASE let me know if I can answer any additional questions for you! It is an honor to sprinkle Pixie Dust on this upcoming adventure and I am so glad I can be of assistance!
