Hello Deborah Estelle!
Welcome to planDisney and I am in love with your name! It's so pretty that it makes me want to sing a song and dance with my furry animal friends. Too bad all I have is a tortoise and children with sticky hands. (Why are they always sticky?)
Anyway, as a mom I understand the desire to have your kids be independent in the Parks and able to purchase the snacks and souvenirs that they like. Linking a credit or debit card to your card can be done simply at the Front Desk of your
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. The only rule is that they must be one of the
acceptable forms of payment. For example, if you wish to apply a VISA debit card to your card it should be no problem. Purchases require a 4-Digit PIN to be set up which you can do during online check-in or at the Front Desk.
Payment information cannot be saved however for anyone under the age of 18 on the
My Disney Experience Mobile App for any purchases made through the app. This would mean that they would have to manually enter their payment information for any
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering and
Merchandise Mobile Checkout. It may slow them down in their purchasing a bit as manual payment entry is a bit tedious but I suggest saving the card information as a note on the phone and copying and pasting it. This is also how I use
Disney Gift Cards to pay for items via the app. Copy and paste for quick purchasing and faster consumption of chicken strips.
I hope this helps and you have a fabulous time with your family! Don't forget those wet wipes for the sticky hands and messy but magical memories!
Happy Planning!
