    Jane from MI Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

    Hi! Can you please tell me how many days in advance a cruise must be paid in full? Is the paid in full date the same as the date for booking activities and excursions? Thank you!

    Ahoy there, Jane! Thanks for sailing our way here at planDisney with your question about paid in full dates!

    When it comes to the most important dates on a Disney Cruise Line vacation other than embarkation day, you've definitely got the right ones circled on your planning calendar! But what are those dates exactly? Well, that all depends on the date of your cruise and your Castaway Club status! Lucky for you, I've got a treasure map that'll lead us right to the answer!

    ::unrolls map::

    Just as I thought, the easiest way to reach the X that marks the spot is to sign into your Disney account on the Disney Cruise Line website, and sail on over to your "My Reservations" page! Right there under the "Cruise Details" heading you should see a line of text that shows "Your booking window opens on..." and your date! Just below that, you should see your payment information with an equally friendly message, "To ensure that your reservation is not canceled, please pay your stateroom in full by..." followed by another date!

    SO there you have it! Now, those dates are likely not the same, and for good reason! Also, if you don't have a current reservation, you'll obviously not have a My Reservations page! In that case, the basics about paid in full dates and booking windows are as follows:
    • For sailings through September 30, 2022, final payments are due 60 days before embarkation day as part of the temporary final payment policy!
    • Know your Castaway Club status - Concierge Staterooms can book activities and Port Adventures 125 days before embarkation, followed by Platinum (120 days), Gold (105 days), Silver (90 days) and first-time cruisers (75 days)!
    • Finally, be sure your reservation is paid-in-full well before your booking window opens!
    Now. I'd definitely keep an eye on the FAQs found on the site, as later this year the temporary final payment policy will likely change back. When it does, you'll be able to find that information in the "what's new" section!

    Whew. That sure was a lot of information - but now you should be totally set with everything there is to know about those important dates! Thank you so much for your question, Jane! If you have any others as you continue planning, please sail my way again here at planDisney and drop me a line!

    Until then, may your anchor be tight and your compass, true!
