Hello. Can you please tell me when the boat and monorail to MK start running from the Polynesian to magic kingdom? Planning for early entry and want to get there on time!

    Hiya, Meghan! Welcome to planDisney!

We just got back from a stay at the Polynesian ourselves. We enjoyed the tropical vibe, being able to watch Happily Ever After from the beach overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon, the ability to grab a DOLE Whip whenever we wanted from Pineapple Lanai, the monorail ride to the Magic Kingdom, and the Lava Pool. I look forward to visiting again, especially when the new Disney Vacation Club rooms become available. The new building looks impressive!

The complimentary transportation offered to all Disney Resorts Collection Guests will begin operating 30 minutes to one hour before the earliest opening time for each theme park, leaving you plenty of time to hop on the highway in the sky or enjoy a lovely cruise from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to the Magic Kingdom for rope drop. The monorail states it begins operating 30 minutes before opening, but I would be at your resort stop 45 minutes before opening if they start early. The water launch, or water taxi, will launch from the docks in 15- to 30-minute intervals, so again, I suggest being ready to go 45 minutes to an hour before the park opening. As always, these times are subject to change based on the weather, so swing like Tarzan to the front desk the night before to get the latest info!

Meghan, have you considered making the most of your time by purchasing Disney Genie+? Genie+ is a fantastic way to save time waiting in attraction queues when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort by using the Lightning Lane entrances, and it gives you access to digital downloads of select attraction photos, too! You can buy Genie+ beginning at midnight the day of your visit, cost varies, and is per person, but if time is money! Based on when you are visiting and for how long, this could be an excellent way to experience as many attractions and experiences as possible!

I hope this helps answer your question. If you have any additional Disney World vacation planning questions, come back to visit us at planDisney! We would be happy to continue helping you with your vacation planning questions!

    See you real soon,
    Brent
