Lazy River at Typhoon Lagoon

    Could you please tell me if blizzard beach or typhoon lagoon will be open end of September to mid October? Thank you

    Hey there, Laura, and welcome to planDisney. There is nothing better I can do to treat myself than a few laps around the lazy rivers at the Disney Water Parks. Castaway Creek and Cross Country Creek put my mind and body at ease the minute I sit in the innertube.

    While there is no guarantee on which Disney Water Park will be open when you arrive from your trip across the pond we can use the past two years pattern to predict which one. Here are the opening and closing dates since 2022.

    • November 13, 2022 - Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon closed / Disney's Blizzard Beach opened
    • March 19, 2023 - Disney's Blizzard Beach closed / Disney's Typhoon Lagoon opened
    • November 6, 2023 - Disney's Typhoon Lagoon / Disney's Blizzard Beach opened
    • March 17, 2024 - Disney's Blizzard Beach closed / Disney's Typhoon Lagoon opened

    If I were you I would expect Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park to be open for you to catch the waves at the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, Storm Slides, Crush 'n' Gusher, and Miss Adventure Falls in September. While there I suggest you rent a Beachcomber Shacks or chair and an umbrella so you have your own designated space. We have rented Beachcomber Shacks Premium Plus for our last two visits and everyone loved the shade and privacy of these Sports and Recreation experiences.
