Ahoy there, Kathy, and welcome to planDisney where the seas are always calm and the sun is always bright. Your trip is just a few more months away, and I bet you can practically smell the fresh sea air and feel the breeze blowing through your hair. I will also be on the
Disney Fantasy a few weeks after you, and I'm already dreaming of Mickey churro waffles and sunsets on my verandah. It's my favorite ship! Enough of the daydreaming, though. Let's get to your question.
On your cruise, you'll have an optional dress up night on the second night and
Pirate Night on night three. For the optional dress up night, I usually choose a dress similar to something I might wear to brunch or happy hour with friends, although I have seen cocktail attire as well. I often see men in slacks and polo shirts on this night. On Pirate Night, many adults and kids will go all out with full pirate gear while others can be as simple as a pirate t-shirt and shorts or jeans. Please keep in mind that all theme nights are optional, and you aren't required to dress up. You can choose what's referred to as
cruise casual, and you'll be just fine.
One of my favorite things to do on the Fantasy is grab a drink at
Bon Voyage in the lobby about an hour before dinner and people watch. There's usually live entertainment, photo opportunities and characters greeting Guests. It's such a lively time of day, and I love the energy.
Kathy, I hope you have a fantastic cruise and that you love the Fantasy just as much as I do. If you have any other planning questions, please visit us again here at planDisney.
Let your dreams guide you!
