Hi Claire,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! When you’re planning your next Disneyland Resort vacation, it’s important to keep in mind that
ticket prices fluctuate. There are high-demand times of the year and days of the week that impact ticket values. This is the tier system you are referencing.
If you purchase a tiered ticket from a third party or decide to change your reservation, you’ll need to be aware of the ticket tier. 1-Day Tier 0 tickets are the most affordable, while Tier 6 tickets are the most expensive but also have no blackout dates. If you need to reschedule your trip, you may use your ticket on a date with the same or a lower tier (as long as it’s before the ticket’s expiration date). For example, you can use a Tier 4 ticket on another Tier 4 day or on a Tier 3, 2, 1, or 0 day.
The Disneyland Resort website lists
blackout dates for each ticket tier to help you plan or reschedule accordingly. Currently, blackout dates for tiered tickets are listed through May 2026. This is because you can make park reservations up to six months in advance.
As you plan your park visit, keep in mind the special events and festivals taking place at the resort. Check out the
2025 Event Calendar to get an idea of some of the fun events happening at the Disneyland Resort. Hopefully, a 2026 calendar will be released soon! We’ve already heard about some of the
2026 After Dark events coming to the Parks. I definitely want to try to make it to
Sweethearts’ Nite next year!
I hope this information was helpful, Claire. If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always here to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your next Disney adventure.
Wishing you a magical vacation!
