Can you please provide me details about the adjusted time schedule of the monorail at Disney World that is planned for the summer? My family of 10 will be there in August and was just wondering how it may impact our trip. Thank you for your time!

    Hi Christopher,

Your vacation will be here before you know it! As you have heard, some adjustments to the monorail schedule are going to be necessary this summer as improvements are made to the system.

The Magic Kingdom Resort monorail is scheduled to run from 8:30 a.m. to midnight daily. The Magic Kingdom Express monorail will run from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. And the monorail between Epcot and the Transportation and Ticket Center will run from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

During the altered monorail schedule, additional buses will be added to help guests get to their destinations, and watercraft will continue to be available between Magic Kingdom and the nearby resorts.

It sounds as if the adjustments will have the biggest impact on guests who have early breakfast reservations. You probably will want to allow a bit more travel time for those reservations.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I hope this helps make your planning easier. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you. Enjoy your family's visit to the Walt Disney World resort.
